Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Law

Outline

In the modern economic society, personnel with strong expertise and problem-solving skill are increasingly required for legal issues in business. In order to foster advanced specialists in the field of business law, we offer a unique re-education system made for business people in Japanese. Our programs consist of five courses: (1) Corporate Law, (2) International Business Law, (3) Intellectual Property Law, (4) Social and Economic Law, and (5) Tax Law. Students attend lectures and seminars, finally write a thesis on business issues. On completion of it, a master's or doctoral degree in laws will be granted.

Those who gained the skills and knowledge in our programs have made use of them in their business. Some of them have filled academic posts.

Educational Policy

Advanced education and training are offered in a wide range of courses in law that are basic and practical. Students will acquire their skills in research methodology that may enable them to contribute to society in their career.

We place especially emphasis on individual thesis advice given by one or more supervisors. Even those who have never studied law would be able to analyze practical issues from a juristic perspective and to apply statutory provisions and legal doctrines to them. We provide students lectures and seminars responding to social needs and with academic significance.
